What inspired the idea behind Raik Deftech, and how did the journey begin?
To build Raik Deftech as a leading force in India’s defense sector, driven by a team of seasoned veterans, individuals from army backgrounds, and engineers united by a shared mission—enhancing the strength of our armed forces. We aim to develop cutting-edge, indigenous human augmentation and robotic technologies that empower soldiers, improve operational capability, and support the evolving needs .
Defence-tech is a challenging and uncommon space—what made you choose this path and what problem were you aiming to solve?
Defence-tech is challenging, but for us, it was a natural choice driven by both personal exposure and a clear problem statement. Coming from an army background and closely observing soldiers in real conditions, we saw the immense physical strain they endure—often carrying 40–60 kg while operating in extreme environments.
At the same time, our background in biomechanics, engineering, and combat sports gave us a deeper understanding of human physical limits. We realized that even a small increase in load significantly impacts endurance, mobility, and long-term health.
This led us to focus on a core problem: how to enhance soldier strength and endurance while reducing fatigue and risk of injury without compromising mobility.
Through Raik Deftech, we are addressing this by developing indigenous human augmentation systems, such as exoskeletons and assistive technologies, that act as a force multiplier—enabling soldiers to perform more efficiently, safely, and for longer durations in real-world missions.
“Designing the Future of Strength” is a powerful vision—what does it truly mean for Raik Deftech?
It represents our commitment to augmenting human capability—not replacing it—by engineering systems that enable soldiers to carry more, endure longer, and operate more effectively in demanding environments. Strength, in our context, is a combination of endurance, resilience, mobility, and survivability on the battlefield.
This vision also reflects our focus on building practical, mission-ready, and indigenous solutions, where advanced engineering and biomechanics come together to solve real-world defense challenges.
Ultimately, “Designing the Future of Strength” means empowering every soldier with the capability to perform beyond natural limits—safely, efficiently, and consistently—through innovation.
What makes Raik Deftech different from other defence-tech companies in India?
For us, this is not just an engineering problem—it’s something we have personally lived and pushed through. Our founder and core team come from backgrounds rooted in physical conditioning, combat training, and exposure to real operational challenges. We understand the strain, fatigue, and limits of the human body not just in theory, but through experience.
This reflects directly in how we build and test our products. We test everything on ourselves first—pushing the systems to their limits before anyone else uses them. Our testing involves high-intensity, real-world scenarios such as long-distance endurance runs, dynamic movement under load, and impact-based evaluations to ensure durability, safety, and performance under extreme conditions.
We don’t rely solely on lab simulations—our approach is to validate technology under practical, high-stress environments that mirror real use cases. Only after rigorous internal testing do we move toward broader trials.
In essence, Raik Deftech is built on “tested by experience, proven in reality.” This hands-on, ground-level validation ensures that our solutions are not just innovative, but truly mission-ready, reliable, and built for the realities of the field.
Among all your innovations, which product best represents the true vision of Raik Deftech, and why?
Among all our innovations, the HanumantaEXO Series platforms best represent the true vision of Raik Deftech.
This series directly embodies our core philosophy of “Enhancing Strength” by augmenting human capability in the most demanding defense environments. The HanumantaEXO is not just a product—it is a complete human augmentation system designed to reduce soldier fatigue, improve endurance, and enable efficient load carriage without compromising mobility.
What makes it truly representative of our vision is its foundation in real-world understanding and practical engineering. From load transfer mechanisms to biomechanical alignment and modular adaptability, every aspect of the HanumantaEXO is built to solve the actual challenges faced by soldiers on the ground.
It reflects our approach of creating mission-ready, scalable, and indigenous solutions that act as a force multiplier—empowering soldiers to perform beyond natural limits while maintaining safety and operational ffectiveness.
In essence, the HanumantaEXO Series is the closest realization of our goal to bridge human potential and advanced defense technology, making it the flagship representation of Raik Deftech’s vision.
“We don’t just build defense tech—we push the human body beyond its limits. Forged through real sweat, strain, and experience, our mission is to turn every soldier into a force multiplier—where strength is engineered, not assumed.”
Since your focus is on futuristic yet affordable defence solutions, how do you balance high-end innovation with practical usability for India’s defence sector?
Balancing high-end innovation with practical usability is at the core of how we operate at Raik Deftech. Our approach lies in a fundamentally different design and R&D philosophy, where we focus on achieving defense-grade performance without unnecessary complexity or cost escalation.
Instead of relying on expensive, over-engineered systems, we emphasize smart mechanical design, efficient load transfer mechanisms, and real-world validation. This allows us to significantly reduce R&D and manufacturing costs while still meeting the high-performance standards required for defense applications.
We also prioritize simplicity, modularity, and field usability—ensuring that our solutions are not only advanced but also rugged, easy to maintain, and adaptable to real combat and logistics environments.
In essence, our strategy is to engineer efficiency rather than add complexity, enabling us to deliver cutting-edge yet practical and scalable solutions tailored for the needs of India’s defence sector.
What is your long-term vision for Raik Deftech, and what impact do you want this brand to create in the future?
Our long-term vision for Raik Deftech is to build technologies that ensure no soldier’s career is limited by physical strain or deterioration. We aim to empower every individual in the armed forces with enhanced strength, endurance, and protection—so that retirement becomes a choice, not a necessity driven by physical limitations.
