Can you explain what Naviget is and the primary problem it aims to solve within the Indian mobility ecosystem?

Today, many mass-market ride-hailing platforms in India focus primarily on offering the lowest possible fares. While this benefits price-sensitive customers, it often comes at the expense of driver earnings. Reduced margins can lead to inconsistent service, including last-minute cancellations, disputes over basic amenities like air conditioning, and vehicles that are not maintained to premium standards.

Naviget is built for a different kind of customer—someone who values reliability, comfort, and peace of mind over the lowest price. As an EV-first premium mobility network, we are redefining the ride experience through quality, accountability, and exceptional service.

Every ride with Naviget includes a guaranteed pickup, a clean and well-maintained electric vehicle, and a professionally trained chauffeur who understands the importance of courtesy, punctuality, and customer care. With Naviget, premium transportation isn’t just about reaching your destination—it’s about enjoying a seamless, dependable experience from start to finish.

Naviget's short-term (2026) and long-term (2028) growth objectives?

Short-Term Goals (2026):
Our immediate focus is to strengthen our presence across six key metropolitan markets. Building on our established operations in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, and Chandigarh, we are expanding through active pilots in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Pune. By the end of 2026, we aim to onboard 5,000 premium electric vehicles, complete 100,000 successful rides, and introduce an exclusive membership program tailored for founders, investors, and senior executives.

Long-Term Vision (2028):
By 2028, our goal is to capture 20% of India’s premium airport transfer and intercity mobility market. We aspire to establish Naviget as the country’s most trusted premium mobility brand—recognized for reliability, exceptional service, and sustainable electric transportation.

How did the co-founders meet, and how do their complementary backgrounds contribute to Naviget's operations and growth?

Yash and I first met while working together at an edtech startup in Bengaluru, where we quickly developed a strong professional relationship built on trust, complementary skills, and a shared entrepreneurial mindset. Long before entering the mobility industry, we knew we worked well together and shared a common vision of building a technology-driven company capable of solving real-world problems at scale.

Our backgrounds complement each other and play a key role in shaping Naviget’s growth. I studied at S.N. Medical College, Jodhpur, before leaving medical school to pursue entrepreneurship. Prior to Naviget, I founded Meal24, a food delivery startup that scaled beyond ₹1 crore in revenue, giving me hands-on experience in operations, logistics, and business execution. Yash is an IIT (BHU) graduate and former engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and SingleStore, with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure and scalable technology systems. Together, I lead business strategy, operations, and customer experience, while Yash drives technology, product development, and platform architecture—creating a strong balance between operational excellence and technical innovation.

Was there a critical decision or breakthrough that transformed Naviget's initial direction?

Naviget’s journey began with a very different vision. Our first product was a cab fare comparison platform that enabled users to compare prices across multiple ride-hailing apps. The response was immediate, with over 5,000 users joining on the very first day. While the product gained traction quickly, the user behavior revealed a much deeper insight than we had initially anticipated.

As we analyzed customer interactions, we realized that people weren’t switching between apps simply to save a small amount on fares—they were searching across platforms because they feared last-minute driver cancellations and unreliable service. That insight became the defining turning point for Naviget. We recognized that the biggest challenge in urban mobility wasn’t affordability, but dependability. This led us to pivot from a price comparison tool to building a premium mobility platform focused on guaranteed rides, exceptional service, and a travel experience customers can trust.

What was the strategic rationale behind focusing on airport transfers at Bengaluru Airport as your first market?

Airport transfers represent one of the most critical use cases in urban mobility. Unlike regular city commutes, where delays may simply mean arriving late, an unreliable airport ride can result in missed flights, financial losses, disrupted schedules, and significant inconvenience. This makes reliability, punctuality, and service quality far more valuable than marginal price savings, creating a strong demand for a premium mobility solution.

Bengaluru Airport was the ideal market to validate this approach. As one of India’s busiest airports, serving more than 43 million passengers annually, it generates an estimated 30,000–40,000airport cab trips every day. Located approximately 35 km from the city, it offers limited alternatives to road transport, while average ride fares range between ₹700 and ₹1,100. This combination of high trip volumes, premium fare values, and a large base of business and frequent travelers presented a compelling opportunity for Naviget to establish itself as a reliable, premium airport mobility provider.

How does Naviget's business model create a sustainable competitive advantage while avoiding the pitfalls experienced by earlier premium mobility providers?

Naviget’s business model is built on the belief that premium mobility should be both customer-centric and financially sustainable. While earlier premium mobility platforms demonstrated strong demand for reliable, high-quality transportation, asset-heavy models that required owning and financing large vehicle fleets introduced significant capital intensity and operational risk. These fixed costs can limit flexibility and create financial challenges as businesses scale.

To address this, Naviget has adopted an asset-light operating model. Rather than owning vehicles or directly employing drivers, we partner with established fleet operators who already manage premium electric vehicles. Naviget provides the technology platform, standardized operating procedures, chauffeur training, quality assurance, and access to a growing base of premium individual and corporate customers. This approach enables rapid, capital-efficient expansion while minimizing fleet-related financial risk and allowing us to focus on delivering a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

Can you provide an overview of Naviget's revenue model and key monetization streams.

Naviget’s revenue model is designed to be simple, scalable, and aligned with the long-term success of its ecosystem. Our primary source of revenue is a 10–15% commission on every completed ride. By maintaining a fair commission structure, we enable our fleet partners to operate profitably, encouraging higher service standards, better vehicle maintenance, and an exceptional customer experience.

In addition to ride commissions, Naviget generates revenue through enterprise mobility solutions, including corporate travel contracts and business partnerships. We also deliver value-added services to fleet operators, such as demand forecasting and operational insights to improve fleet utilization, along with integrated smart technologies—including AI-powered dashcams and GPS-based monitoring systems—that enhance safety, compliance, and operational efficiency across the network.

What makes Naviget's backend architecture capable of delivering a dependable, zero-cancellation customer experience?

Traditional ride-hailing platforms often treat scheduled bookings as future ride requests rather than confirmed reservations. In many cases, a driver is not assigned until shortly before the pickup time, increasing the likelihood of cancellations if the trip is considered unattractive. This approach can create uncertainty, particularly for time-sensitive journeys such as airport transfers.

Naviget follows a fundamentally different operating model. Every scheduled ride is assigned to a professional fleet partner well in advance, ensuring confirmed bookings cannot be declined under normal circumstances. Our chauffeurs operate under standardized service protocols, delivering a consistent premium experience. In the rare event of a genuine vehicle or medical emergency, our backend system automatically activates a replacement process, reassigning the booking to a comparable premium EV from the fleet partner’s network. This ensures uninterrupted service and enables us to uphold our commitment to reliable, zero-cancellation travel.

Can you share the key traction metrics and customer validation achieved since launch?

Since launching in March, Naviget has grown from operating with a single fleet partner in Bengaluru to successfully completing over 2,500 premium rides, all without any paid marketing. The platform has achieved this growth while maintaining an average booking value of approximately ₹1,400, demonstrating strong demand for reliable, premium mobility services.

Our strongest validation, however, is a 70% organic repeat customer rate. In the mobility industry, repeat usage is driven by consistent service quality rather than brand awareness alone. Customers return because they trust us to deliver reliable, on-time transportation every time. This commitment to operational excellence has also earned the confidence of leading concierge and executive service platforms, including Hulp, founded by former PolicyBazaar co-founder Tarun Mathur, and Crew by Swiggy, both of whom rely on Naviget for premium airport transfers and executive travel.
