Every Startup Heard the Same Thing: “Minimum 2000 Boxes.” Then Came EzPac

Long before EzPac came into existence, Paarth Shah was driven by a strong entrepreneurial instinct and a passion for building unconventional ideas. His journey began with ventures that challenged traditional thinking, including Walking Media, a wearable advertising concept that earned recognition through the prestigious Aegis Graham Bell Award. His curiosity about branding and business led him to pursue an MBA in Marketing from Brandeis International Business School, USA, where he developed a strong understanding of consumer behavior, brand building, and market strategy. However, his most valuable learning came from working in his family’s packaging business, Chetna Packaging, where he gained firsthand exposure to manufacturing, client relationships, operational challenges, and the realities of running a small business. Around the same time, Vatsal, who shared a similar passion for solving real business problems, was actively involved in supporting the family business and closely observing customer needs alongside Paarth. Through their day-to-day interactions with customers, both repeatedly noticed a major gap in the market—small businesses were eager for custom branded packaging in low quantities, yet most suppliers either refused such orders due to high minimum order requirements or quoted prices that were far beyond the reach of emerging brands. One evening, during a conversation over dinner, what began as a casual discussion between Paarth and Vatsal turned into a defining realization: the demand for low-MOQ packaging was massive, but the market offered no practical solution. That insight became the foundation of their entrepreneurial journey together. After extensive research and problem-solving, the two co-founded EzPac in 2023 with a shared vision—to make premium custom packaging accessible to businesses of every size through low MOQs starting at just 10 pieces, affordable pricing, seamless customization, and doorstep delivery across India. Since day one, EzPac has been built on their combined efforts, shared vision, and commitment to empowering small businesses to grow like big brands.

The turning point came in 2017, when a major business setback involving a trusted family member shook the foundation of the family business. The crisis tested finances, resilience, and the ability to rebuild. Watching a legacy business struggle despite years of hard work left a lasting impact on Paarth & Vatsal . The challenge was not a lack of effort or dedication, it was the lack of access to the right tools, technology, and modern systems that could help small businesses compete. That difficult phase brought clarity. They realized that across India, millions of entrepreneurs from chai stall owners and home bakers to D2C founders and emerging brands were creating exceptional products but lacked access to one critical element: professional-quality branded packaging.

The problem was bigger than it initially appeared. Traditional packaging manufacturers operated with large minimum order quantities, often demanding orders of 2,000 to 5,000 units, which made no sense for startups or businesses testing new products. For small brands, investing in such large quantities meant taking unnecessary risks. Beyond high MOQs, the entire packaging process was frustratingly outdated. There was no pricing transparency, no way to visualize packaging designs before production, and the process often involved endless negotiations and weeks of waiting. They identified three major gaps in the industry: access, visibility, and speed. On 08/08/2023, a date chosen with intention and belief, EzPac was officially launched. But this was never just about creating a digital platform. It meant rethinking and rebuilding an entire manufacturing model from the ground up. Instead of depending on traditional third-party vendors, EzPac invested in its own manufacturing unit, specialized machinery, and standardized packaging sizes that could be ordered instantly. At the same time, EzPac was building something equally transformative on the technology side. The team developed a 3D design studio that allowed customers to visualize their packaging before printing. For the first time, a small business owner could visit ezpac.in, select box dimensions, upload their logo and design, and instantly see a realistic 3D preview of their final box. Alongside this, EzPac introduced an instant pricing engine that calculated costs in real time based on size, material, and quantity. This eliminated the endless back-and-forth that had defined the packaging industry for decades. There were no middlemen, no hidden costs, and no guesswork.

What kept the team motivated was not financial milestones or industry recognition, but customer reactions. The first real validation came through messages from small business owners who had long believed that professional packaging was beyond their reach. One skincare founder shared how affordable EzPac’s services were and expressed how transformative the 10-box minimum order quantity was for small businesses. Another customer, Nectartreatss, highlighted that the ability to order just 10 pieces made EzPac stand out.

A great product delivered in a plain brown box often fails to communicate the quality of the brand behind it. Customers judge businesses visually, and for many small entrepreneurs, packaging becomes the difference between appearing amateur and appearing premium. EzPac was built to close that gap. The mission became clear: empower small businesses to look like established brands from day one. Over time, EzPac continued to evolve by listening closely to its customers. The earliest version of the platform offered fixed box sizes and custom printing, but customers wanted more. They wanted to preview their packaging before placing an order. EzPac responded by building the 3D design studio. Customers wanted instant cost calculations without needing to call or negotiate. EzPac built India’s first packaging pricing engine. Customers wanted seamless doorstep delivery, so logistics systems were optimized accordingly.

In February 2026, the company appeared on Shark Tank India Season 5, marking a major milestone in its journey. Standing on that stage, Paarth & Vatsal shared a story that resonated deeply with entrepreneurs across the country—the story of small businesses being left behind by outdated packaging norms. The response was overwhelming. Following the episode, inquiries poured in from every corner of India, from major metropolitan cities to Tier-3 towns. The experience validated what EzPac had always believed: the need for accessible, beautiful, and affordable custom packaging was massive and deeply personal to India’s entrepreneurial community.

Today, EzPac has served more than 2,600 customers and shipped over 2 lakh units across India. It has launched India’s first self-serve 3D packaging design platform, secured an AI patent for intelligent packaging customization technology, and earned incubation support from RIIDL Somaiya, one of India’s leading startup incubation centers. Through every milestone, EzPac has remained committed to three core values: access, transparency, and care. The company believes every business deserves premium packaging, every entrepreneur deserves fair and transparent pricing, and every order—whether for 10 boxes or 10,000—deserves equal respect and attention.

They message to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple yet powerful: start before you feel ready, start small if you need to, but start with pride. The business you are building deserves to look premium from day one. Great packaging should never be out of reach simply because a business is small. That belief continues to drive EzPac every day. After all, every brand deserves a beautiful box—and now, thanks to EzPac, getting one can begin with just 10 pieces.
